Some information about John Mansfield, Narrator of 'Inspiring Calm'
The Inspiring Calm CD was produced and narrated by John Mansfield.
John's responsible for running the busy Production Department at Inter-Varsity Press (IVP - the Christian book publisher) In that role he's familiar with the pressures and demands of meeting deadlines. He is also a husband, a father who is involved in his local church. He's therefore subject to pressures and stresses like everyone else. Indeed Inspiring Calm was born out of his own longing to escape the hectic pace of modern life and seek out that elusive quiet place.
Recognizing that many people find it really difficult to find quiet spaces for prayer and reflection, due to time pressure or family responsibilities John created the Inspiring Calm CD to act as a kind of resource for personal quiet time, or as a retreat resource
Over the years John collected together Scriptures that had inspired and helped him in times of need and these form the basis of the spoken words on the Inspiring Calm CD

John enjoys quiet walks away from the crowds, appreciating God's creation and seeking to draw close to Him. He enjoys watching the birds, the wild flowers and the changing seasons. From the calm that John receives from God he seeks to share that calm with others. It is John's desire that all who listen to the CD will experience a blessing of peace from God.
On Sunday's John is a regular reader of the Scripture lesson at St Luke's, his local church.
Currently he has been asked to provide the Voice Over for a DVD commisioned by the Church of England about people with learning disabilities and the Church.
